Watch Me!!

Carter is so cute. Today he was standing on a sleeping bag that is sitting in our living room telling my mom to wach him. Then he would squat down and jump as high as he possibly could. He would then land on either his bum or his feet. But waatching him was so cute. He had a huge smile on his face and was laughing the entire time! He acted like he was so proud of himself!!

A Volleyball Accident

So, a couple weeks ago we were playing queens court in PE with a beach ball. I was going onto the court when all of a sudden, I look over to the other court and see my friend Maddie(also known as Shortie) from my volleyball team this year talking to Mrs. Murrow and i can see blood streaming down the side of her face.At first I thought she had did something to her ear, but she it was actually right above her eye. The teachers call the nurse and they took her away. Then we had to just sit waiting for the rest of the hour (which was about twenty minutes)not knowing anything but that she had cracked her head open. There was a lot of blood and it was really scary. We were all very worried for her.
Later, we found out that apparently she had gone to dive for a ball and got it, but the ball happened to land right in front of a volleyball pole. So in other words, she ran into a volleyball pole and cracked her head open. She ended up having to go get stitches.
One of the funniest things about the whole incident is that she is not allowed to dive for a while now, and it is driving her insane! It is pretty funny watching her play. She was our lebaro (back-row defensive specialist)and one of the main things she would do is dive,(and tell people what to do). But not only is pancaking one of the skills she had to master, she also enjoys doing it. So during PE, she will start to go for a ball, but then stop all of a sudden and drop her head as the ball falls to the ground, realizing that she is not allowed to go to the ground to send it back up.
Shortie is tons of fun. She is a very happy, upbeat person. And event though this happened to her, it has not at all changed her attitude or the way she plays. And that is one of the things that I really love about her :)

Seminary Christmas Parties

This week in seminary, we have had two Christmas parties. For the first one, we played a box game. This game is where you shove all the desk to the sides of the room and you split the class into two teams. Then the teacher will call out scripture mastery's. The first team to all have that scripture mastery looked up gets a point. Then you all have different items. There is a box taped on the floor in the center, and when the teacher calls an item, you want to be the first one to put the item in that box. The person who gets the item in the box first wins their team a point. this game can become very violent. One time, when the item called was a gift,three people dove to the middle to get their item into the box first. The three items that were brought to the middle were a toy light saber. a Santa ornament and a picture on a piece of paper. One of the guys that went to the middle got hit in the head with the light saber and got a cut right above his eye. The cut started bleeding, so he and two other guys went to the bathroom and got a wet paper towel to put on his cut. Then he comes back in and says, "I'm OK, lets keep playing!"

Then to day, we played white elephant. That was a lot of fun too. I ended up with a mini stocking, some chocolate, a pair of earrings (which I gave to a friend because my ears aren't pierced right now), and a Santa ornament with a huge bell at the bottom.

Another Thanksgiving

Today I had another thanksgiving. This time we went to my grandma and grandpa Holstens. I had a lot of fun. All of my family was there. All 11 aunts and uncles and 12 cousins. A lot of people in one house! We ate in the garage; which has carpet in it. There was a table for the adults and a table for the grandkids. We had rolls, corn, jello, ham, turkey, vegetables, fruit, and jello. Then for dessert we had like 10 different types of pie. Some f the Pies where French Silk, Pumpkin, Cherry, Apple, Key Lime, and homemade Cheese cake. YUM!!!. My grandma had bot some remote control cars that all the kids took turn driving around. Some of my cousins and I played "Life on the Farm" which is kinda like monopoly, but instead of places, you buy cows. I had a lot if fun and enjoyed being around my family!

Carter is getting so big. He is walking everywhere and is almost running. when my mom went to the Solorzanos to help make pinatas, I took Carter outside to play, and I put him in one of the cars that little kids ride in. He absolutly loved it!
